“WE CAN BE HEROES”, a tribute concert to David Bowie, wowed a packed house at the State Theatre on January 23rd with an all-star lineup of Maine’s most prominent music groups.

Organized by Spencer Albee of Portland, the concert raised over $10,350 to support Maine Cancer Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to reducing cancer incidence and mortality in Maine.

Maine Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals on Colorectal Cancer Screenings in Maine. 

Funding Criteria:

Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in Maine. Screening for colorectal cancer can help prevent the disease by detecting precancerous cells or growths (polyps) in the colon and rectum so they can be removed. It also can detect colorectal cancer at an early stage, when treatment is most successful in lowering the risk of dying from colon cancer.
