Is there a fundraising minimum?

Yes. There is a fundraising minimum of $100. Why? Because This is a Fundraising mission. Your registration fee covers the cost of your event expenses. This maximizes the impact of your fundraising dollars on our goal - funding prevention, screening and patient support programs.

How long do I have to reach my fundraising goal?

Fundraising prizes will be awarded based on your personal total as of 5pm on June 7th, 2016.

How do matching gifts work?

The matching gifts process is initiated by the donor who contacts his/her company’s human resources department for paperwork and/or procedures. The matching gift information is then sent by the donor or company to Maine Cancer Foundation (matchinggifts@mainecancer.org) for validation and credit to the participant’s fundraising efforts.

Why is there a $20 minimum for online donations?

Credit Card processing fees incurred by online donations have guided our decision to set a $20 minimum. We request that amounts less than $20 be made using the printable donation form and mailed to or dropped off at our office. Athletes receive credit for all donations.

Is there a minimum age to register?

No. Children intending to participate will need to be registered, unless they will be in a stroller for the walk. As a reminder, there is no fee for children under the age of 12, and they are not required to fundraise.

When is the registration deadline?

Online registration will close Wednesday, June 7th at 5pm.

Are strollers allowed in the race?

Yes. Anyone who is pushing a jog stroller will be put towards the back of the pack in order to avoid any collisions or traffic jams with other runners. Strollers are also allowed on the walk course as well.

Are dogs allowed at the race?
